Experteer is very much concerned with user data protection and security. Experteer undertakes to comply with the statutory regulations on data protection, especially the terms of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
Experteer hereby informs the user in accordance with Section 33, Para. 1 BDSG that it stores and processes user data in electronic form. In line with the contractual services provided, personal data is recorded, saved, processed and used. Personal data is data which contains information about the personal and factual circumstances of specific or identifiable users. The data is stored electronically. Data on access to internet pages is also stored.
The user is responsible that his access details (E-mail address and password) are treated confidentially.
On request, Experteer can at any time provide the user with complete, non-chargeable information about the data stored relating to the specific user.
Experteer is not forwarding any personal details to third parties expect for publishing a user`s profile for which the personal user details are used and which was approved by the user while creating his profile as well as for forwarding a user´s application documents to a contacted recruiter (recruitment companies and HR-managers) requested by a user. The user has always the option to define separately if his profile can be viewed by recruitment companies and/or HR-managers anonymously or completely and if his application documents are forwarded. Experteer is not liable for the confidential usage of application documents and personal details by recruiters (recruitment companies and HR-managers).
The personal settings entered by a user will be saved. This guarantees that all users get the same settings for each new session (i.e. each time they log on again). Experteer uses so called cookies for this. These cookies are permanently stored on the user’s hard drive by the browser. To prevent this, the user can adjust the browser settings accordingly.
If a user is accessing Experteer’s services through a partner page (Affiliate), the anonymised data will be stored in a cookie. These cookies do not contain personal data about the user, but are used exclusively to maintain the partner program. These cookies are automatically deleted when the user registers. Without registration, the cookies will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
On our website we make use of Google Analytics, as well as Universal Analytics functions. Universal Analytics enables us to analyse activity on our website across devices (e.g. laptops or tablets). This is made possible by assigning an anonymous User ID to each individual user. The assignment of a User ID occurs when you create a profile on Experteer, or when you log in to your own personal account. However, no personal data will be forwarded to Google. (The fact that Universal Analytics adds extra features to Google Analytics, does however not imply that there will be a compromise of data protection measures in regards to IP-Masking or the Browser-Add-on.)
The user agrees and allows Experteer to use its anonymised user data for the purposes of consultancy, advertising, market research and improving the demand-oriented design of the service. In accordance with section 15, para. 3 TMG, all users can object to the transfer of anonymised user data for the purposes of consultancy, advertising and market research to third parties and to the creation of anonymised usage profiles. An e-mail can be sent to email@example.com in order to exert this objection right.
The user gives their express consent to receive e-mail newsletters. These newsletters are an integral part of the service and regularly inform the user about current, labor-market relevant topics and news regarding Experteer and offers from its partners. In addition, member-specific messages are sent. A newsletter may be canceled at any time by using the link supplied at the end of each newsletter or in the user’s account under "My Account" / "Newsletters".
By registering, the user gives his consent to the use of his data as described in the clauses above.
All users have the right to view all the personal data stored about them free of charge at any time. This information is provided in writing. An information request should be sent, enclosing a copy of personal identification documents, to Experteer GmbH, Lenbachplatz 3, 80333 München.
