As VP/Director you will create and lead a new electronics materials business unit from scratch, aligning strategic roadmap with the company’s growth in high-purity materials for data centres, AI, robotics and other high-tech sectors. You will build commercial and technical value propositions, secure partnerships and possibly M&A to scale the business. The role requires global stakeholder management, travel, and close collaboration with external partners to penetrate the electronics supply chain. This is a high-impact, growth-focused leadership opportunity in a long-established, multinational materials company.

Responsibilities

Establish a stand-alone electronics materials business platform from ground zero
Define and lead the strategic roadmap for the new business unit and identify high-growth market segments
Develop market and product analyses to build a compelling value proposition
Create the business plan and market strategy, including routes to market and customer alignment
Pursue growth initiatives including potential M&A and building external partnerships
Drive market development, product development, and customer engagement across the electronics ecosystem
Travel as required to execute the strategic plan and deepen market penetration
Analyse market dynamics, competition, and emerging technologies to scale the growth plan

Key requirements

Fluent in English; degree-qualified in chemistry, materials, engineering or related field
Extensive expertise in advanced electronics materials, semiconductors, or related high-tech materials
Strong commercial background with engineering know-how; experience in roles like Commercial/BD, Head of BU, GM or New Ventures
Proven track record of building/scaling initiatives from scratch and experience with M&A is advantageous
Ability to operate in complex, ambiguous environments and deliver clear alignment and outcomes
