In this role you will drive system-level requirements for advanced power electronics, high voltage generators, and related medical/industrial applications. You will work within a cross-functional engineering team to translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements and test plans. You’ll coordinate requirement changes and support documentation across hardware, software, and firmware domains, ensuring alignment with regulatory and certification needs. This position offers the chance to shape impactful high-voltage solutions on a global, multidisciplinary team that values rigor and collaboration. You will be on-site at Spellman HQ, contributing to critical projects that power progress.
Pay / Benefits

Responsibilites
- Create and manage system-derived and decomposed requirements
- Capture stakeholder expectations and translate into verifiable requirements
- Develop system-level requirements and allocate to architecture elements (system, hardware, software)
- Support development of hardware and software requirements
- Support development of interface control documents
- Develop verification test plans and procedures
- Generate and maintain a Requirements Verification Matrix
- Coordinate design and validation requirements changes, deviations and waivers
- Support development and review of design documents
- Collaborate with firmware, software, hardware, testing and mechanical teams to develop overall test plans and procedures
Key requirements
- 5+ years engineering experience
- Experience in requirements development, verification, and validation
- Power Electronics & power conversion experience (a major plus)
- Understanding of converter topologies, analog and digital electronics
- Experience designing switch mode power supplies (a plus)
- Knowledge of regulated industries and certification processes
- Experience with engineering tools and systems (modeling and requirements management)
- Strong written and verbal communication; proven team leadership
- Hands-on design verification, troubleshooting, bench work
- Circuit simulation skills (Cadence desirable); FEA skills (a plus)
