Responsibilites
- Advise clients on zoning regulations and land use matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for real estate development and property transactions
- Conduct in-depth legal research on land use and environmental issues
- Represent clients in litigation and regulatory compliance related to land use and zoning
- Assist clients with land use planning and development approvals processes
- Prepare legal documents and guide representation in administrative hearings and court proceedings
- Stay updated on changes in land use law and local regulations to provide timely advice
Key requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Washington State
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in land use, environmental, or real estate development law
- Strong understanding of zoning regulations and planning processes
- Proficient in legal research and contract negotiation
- Excellent litigation skills and court representation experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
