As Operations Director, you will lead a key manufacturing site, driving performance and embedding Lean across manufacturing, engineering, warehousing and logistics. You will guide the site’s integration into the Group, shaping the operational strategy and contributing to growth and transformation. You’ll focus on quality, safety and customer service while building high-performing teams and delivering measurable improvements. This role offers scope to influence group strategy and lead a significant transformation within a market-leading business.

Responsibilites
- Lead site operations across manufacturing, engineering, warehousing and logistics
- Drive productivity, OEE, OTIF, Right First Time, waste reduction and asset utilisation
- Embed Lean and continuous improvement across the operation
- Develop and execute the site's operational strategy aligned with Group objectives
- Lead integration of the business into the wider Group and share best practice
- Ensure high standards of quality, compliance, health & safety and customer service
- Coach, develop and inspire operational teams to sustainable performance
- Deliver financial and operational results through improved systems, processes and ways of working
Key requirements
- Strong track record of leadership in a best-in-class manufacturing/operational environment
- Experience in medium- to high-volume, complex manufacturing with a customer-centric focus
- Proven ability to drive operational improvement and cultural change
- Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement and performance management techniques
- Commercial awareness and ability to translate improvements into business results
- Exceptional people leadership and building high-performing teams
- Credibility and resilience to lead during growth, investment and transformation
- Experience in sectors such as packaging, FMCG, pharmaceutical manufacturing or life sciences (quality-driven environments)
