Experteer Overview
As a Network Engineer you safeguard continuity and optimal availability of Basic-Fit’s connectivity across international sites. You shape and implement network improvements, lead large-scale initiatives, and guide colleagues while resolving incidents and maintaining infrastructure. You work with Fortinet SDWAN and collaborate with suppliers to support the organization's growth and reliability. This role combines hands-on engineering with advisory responsibilities in a fast-growing, international environment.

Responsibilites
- Lead identification and implementation of network improvements
- Design, optimize, and manage a large-scale international network
- Install and configure hardware, software, and infrastructure components
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Prepare in-depth technical analyses and documentation
- Act as trusted partner for suppliers and stakeholders
- Share knowledge and mentor IT team members
Key requirements
- Extensive experience as a Network Engineer in large and complex environments
- HBO-level working and thinking ability (preferably ICT degree)
- Strong process-thinking skills and ability to implement them with partners
- Knowledge of Fortinet SDWAN
- CCNP (Cisco) certification (or higher)
- Proven knowledge of routing, switching, and protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
- Experience with telephony systems (Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Webex, SIP trunking)
- Solid IT security principles
- Excellent communication in Dutch and English (German and French a plus)
