As an IM/IT Systems Administrator, you support the management and security of server and end-user systems, networking, and communications equipment within a DoD/ECMM context. You will drive configuration, diagnostics, and system compliance to ensure reliable data exchange across healthcare platforms. This role sits within a team focused on secure IT operations for healthcare data integration. You will tackle security, patching, and upgrades while collaborating with vendors and base communications to resolve issues. Tasks
- Manage configuration, development, and integration for servers, desktops, switches, and communication devices
- Diagnose issues and coordinate with Base Communications or vendors for support
- Apply security patches, service packs, hot fixes, and operating system upgrades
- Maintain equipment inventory and ensure system compliance and virus protection
- Support MMIS-related IT operations and imaging, software loads, and diagnostics
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an associated field
- Secret clearance
- DoD Information Assurance training requirements (must complete and stay current)
- Comptia A+ certification
- Comptia Security+ certification
- Minimum 10 years of field experience with relevant skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
