In this role you will be the technical authority for Furnace and Batch operations within the Global Network for Furnace. You’ll drive safety, share expert knowledge, and support JV/Licensee plants worldwide with hands-on leadership from design to decommissioning. You will train and guide teams, deploy new technologies, and improve plant reliability. This position offers an opportunity to shape in-plant operations while upholding O-I’s safety and performance standards.

Responsibilites

Promote a safety-first culture in the field
Serve as a subject-matter expert for the Furnace discipline and align messaging across audiences
Support the business through the Global Furnace Network, including JV and licensee plants
Design and deliver training; enable operational controls and asset protection
Plan and execute preventative and reactive maintenance; support rebuilds and hot repairs
Prepare and execute projects; deploy new technologies
Diagnose quality upset conditions remotely and in-field, with timely recovery
Capture learnings from incidents to prevent recurrence
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure optimal outcomes
Provide onsite support as needed and for limited durations
Lead a focus area within the discipline for ongoing operations improvement
Provide technical leadership for GME focus projects and licensee/JV support
Support troubleshooting and operational guidance for JV/licensee partners
Ensure practical and simple technical communication linking furnace and melting processes
Drive safety, health, and environment initiatives
