In this role you will lead geotechnical delivery for projects in the Midlands, acting as the local focal point while supported by a broader team. You will oversee ground investigations, ground modelling, and geotechnical designs, shaping the Midlands presence and contributing to a growing cross-region network. You’ll deliver high-quality interpretive reports and be a technical leader driving capability and project delivery across the Birmingham and Northampton offices.

Responsibilites

Lead and deliver ground investigations and geotechnical designs
Develop robust ground models and provide clear interpretive reports
Design geotechnical structures including foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures and ground improvement
Act as a technical leader and grow geotechnical capability within the Birmingham team
Collaborate with a Midlands-wide team of specialists to deliver solutions across diverse projects

Key requirements

Proven experience scoping and delivering geotechnical investigations and designs
Strong ground modelling and interpretive reporting skills
Experience designing a range of geotechnical structures
Confidence working independently and leading technical delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (BEng, BSc or higher)
Chartered status with a relevant professional body
