As an Embedded Systems Engineering Leader, you will guide a skilled team to design, implement, test, and document firmware and software for high voltage power supplies. Responsibilites

Provide technical direction and workload management for all Embedded Systems development
Plan firmware/software development projects and manage release processes
Oversee firmware/software design for high voltage power supplies across multiple platforms and languages
Prepare technical documentation including diagrams, manuals, and release notes
Review customer requirements and ensure alignment with engineering standards
Lead product design reviews and ensure timely, budget-conscious project execution
Foster a high-performance engineering culture and mentor the team
Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and quality teams on strategic projects
Drive lean/risk-based project execution and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with security regulations and company standards

Key requirements

Bachelor in Electrical Engineering; 15+ years in product/technology development in power electronics
15+ years hands-on experience; high voltage X-ray power conversion experience highly desired
7+ years leading an engineering team in a global company; manufacturing exposure preferred
Strong knowledge of power electronics, analog design, magnetic design for HV/LV applications
Proven leadership with coaching, collaboration, and strategic orientation
Excellent project management and design/analysis tool proficiency
Willingness to travel ~10% and on-site work in Hauppauge, NY
