Senior Specialist / Project Manager

In this role, you will advance digital design workflows across projects and studios, driving interoperability, automation, and performance analysis. You’ll troubleshoot complex models and data flows while promoting firmwide standards and templates. You will pilot new tools, develop scalable workflows, and mentor teammates in digital practices. A core focus is improving efficiency and design delivery through computational design, scripting, and cross‑platform collaboration. This is a growth‑oriented position within a collaborative, innovation‑driven culture.
Responsibilites
- Provide advanced technical support to multiple project teams or studios, guiding workflow optimization
- Lead model setup, maintenance, and quality reviews to ensure data integrity and interoperability
- Monitor compliance with BIM Execution Plans, digital standards, and information workflows
- Coordinate clash detection, federated model assembly, data exchanges, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration
- Assist teams in implementing automation tools, scripts, templates, and digital solutions
- Diagnose interoperability issues across design tech, computational design, visualization, and project management platforms
- Conduct model audits, data validation, geometry cleanup, and template troubleshooting
- Collaborate with Digital Practice Leaders to implement firmwide standards at the project level
- Document project workflows, contribute to practice guides, and share lessons learned
- Onboard new team members and provide informal training on digital tools and best practices
- Apply automation thinking to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
- Explore advanced workflows for 3D modeling, digital fabrication, and performance analysis
- Support development and testing of new toolsets and modeling techniques for better interoperability
- Contribute to environmental simulation and performance analysis within project delivery
- Provide feedback to leadership on opportunities to enhance workflows and tooling
- Participate in project/studio meetings to identify workflow improvements
- Demonstrate continuous learning and growth toward advanced technical roles
- Travel may be required if needed by project needs
- Support sustainable, responsible digital practices to minimize rework and support design intent
Key requirements
- Proven expertise in design technology, computational design, data analytics, and related digital technologies
- Experience with data management, visualization, and collaboration platforms (Power BI, Speckle, Forge, Unreal Engine)
- Strong understanding of building systems, technical documentation, and construction processes
- Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and managing change in a global organization
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong commitment to excellence, delivering accurate, high-quality results
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects while supporting a distributed team
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of supporting multiple projects simultaneously
- Learning mindset with curiosity to grow into deeper technical roles
- Willingness to travel as required
