In this role you will oversee customs procedures across Germany and Europe, ensuring compliance with import/export rules and HTS coding. You will monitor audits, develop solutions for complex customs issues, and create work instructions to support EU locations. You’ll coordinate export licenses, screening, and Intrastat reporting while collaborating with Sales, Customer Experience, and Purchasing. This position focuses on practical compliance work and cross‑functional support to sustain global trade operations.
Responsibilites
- Monitor customs procedures and duties; provide HTS code support
- Manage Simplified customs processes and track the status of audits
- Communicate with customs authorities across Europe (primarily Germany)
- Monitor customs audits and develop solutions to complex issues
- Implement and monitor German foreign trade regulations; create work instructions; support EU locations
- Handle long-term supplier declarations
- Prepare Intrastat reports for Austria and Germany; liaise with authorities
- Manage and monitor export licenses and exemptions for Germany, CZ and PT; support all EU plants
- Perform restricted-party screenings; coordinate positive hits with Sales, Customer Experience, and Purchasing; maintain SAP partner restrictions
- Support global Trade Compliance team in export license coordination and daily SAP blocked order handling; HTS code review
