I have been requested by a well known global pharmaceutical company to find a new Medical Director of Pharmacovigilance, to join their established pharmacovigilance department and drive forward the organisation from both a clinical and postmarketed viewpoint. This position would suit a medically trained pharmacovigilance candidate with 4+ years of experience within a similar function. Within this role, the Medical Director of Pharmacovigilance will on work on a global level and take a lead in strategically important developmental programs, with a heavy focus on Phase III and IV programs. The Medical Director of Pharmacovigilance will maintain global oversight of signal detection, risk management activities, and ensure that patient safety is maintained in sponsored studies. The ideal candidate will be a medically trained pharmacovigilance professional with 4+ years experience within pharmacovigilance, clinical research or clinical development with good experience of strategic oversight.
