NHS Tayside Consultant Radiologist Perth Royal Infirmary Applications are invited for this replacement post in general radiology with a special interest in musculoskeletal imaging based at Perth Royal Infirmary. The post is one of eight (three part-time) consultant positions based in Perth Royal Infirmary and is a replacement post. All Tayside consultant radiologists are employed as general radiologists with particular interests. The post will participate in the on-call rota for Perth Royal Infirmary (1:5.65). Tayside has a training scheme for radiology registrars with 12 trainees currently. NHS Tayside is fully filmless as part of the Scottish-wide PACS implementation. The sessions are a mix of CT, Ultrasound, Fluroscopy, MRI and more general duties to develop a special interest along side general radiological duties. Modern high quality equipment is present in Tayside with a 64-slice CT (2007) installed in P.R.I. and a 1.5T MRI unit (2009). There are 3 Siemens Antares ultrasound units in P.R.I. there is a new Siemens undercouch fluoroscopic unit. A new nuclear medicine department opened in Perth in 2011.
