Undutchables' offices in Rotterdam are nicely situated in the old harbour and staff members have focused on finding executives for native-speaker positions for a wide range of clients, in a variety of languages since 2005. Nick van der Dussen, the Commercial Manager, has been using Experteer's candidate database since 2009.
Due to the quality of the services provided, Undutchables not only attracts interest and attention from applicants and on-line communities for expats, but also from recipients of word-of-mouth publicity. This is how Undutchables has managed to create an extensive database of candidates. The consultants use this database to help find the perfect match for each job. However, when it does not provide the ideal candidate, such as with the ‘International Business Manager Germany’ job, the services of Experteer and other channels are used.
The client, an international e-commerce company, was looking for an experienced manager who would be able to increase the company's on-line visibility by tapping into their extensive knowledge of SEM, on-line strategies, insight into local markets and German buying trends.
The decision to use Experteer was based on previous positive results: "I have had good results in the past using Experteer's marketing and sales solutions. This time I managed to find a suitable candidate using a direct search."
After approaching a number of interesting candidates via Experteer's database, over half of them sent positive responses. After two rounds of phone interviews, the Experteer applicant was the only one left. He was the most suitable candidate for the job as he had years of experience with e-commerce and web stores. The applicant was hired after a number of additional meetings. It only took 5 weeks following the job opening. Nick feels confident about the match and is sure that both the client and the candidate will be satisfied too: "They have met each other five times so far and I feel confident when I say that the chance things will go wrong is negligible."
