Company

Our client is an asset management boutique based in Zurich, providing customized investment solutions for institutional investors. The company develops specific asset class as well as cross-asset class solutions and is supervised by FINMA.

Role

Driving the portfolio construction / asset allocation of clientport folios and our flagship single-and multi-strategy portfolios which entails:
  • Working with clients and investment teams to define portfolios' investment and risk/return
    objectives
  • Performing economic and market analysis by conducting own research & modelling and
    leveraging other internal and external research
  • Performing analysis & back-testing of the portfolio construction
  • Proposing appropriate asset allocation model & weights, consistent with the investment process
    and portfolio objectives, for approval by management and relevant committees/boards
  • Presenting market and economic data and insights to the Multi Asset Committee
In addition you would work with other members of the multi asset team to:
  • Monitor the investment outcomes and report on those to management
  • Assist inefficient implementation of portfolio construction and asset allocation
  • Conduct quantitative manager & strategy due diligence using existing tools and software, and
    develop new tools where necessary and possible

Candidate

  • Master's degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance or similarwitha focus
    on quantitative research/analysis
  • 5+years'work experience inquantitative analysis in investment management, ideally in portfolio
    construction / management / analysis
  • Sound knowledge of the investment management industry including knowledge of different asset
    classes and investment strategies
  • Understanding of macroeconomics and market dynamics and their interactions
  • Hands-on knowledge of data providers and analytical platforms such as (or similar to) Bloomberg,
    Macrobond, Morningstar, Alternativesoft is expected
  • CFA, FRM, CAIA is a plus
  • Fluent English;additional languages are a positive
  • Strong analytical skills with superior attention to detail
  • Critical thinking, positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Self-motivatedand reliable
  • Able to manage multiple projects in an accurate and timely manner
