2. What makes Experteer unique?

   Experteer offers Job Postings with a Salary Benchmark from £50,000 per annum. You benefit from a comprehensive and wide-ranging selection of senior positions. Furthermore you can view exclusive headhunter opportunities which are hardly to find on common job boards.

Job offers

1. How does Experteer ensure the posted jobs are up-to-date?

   We permanently review the open positions currently posted by the companies and synchronise them with our database. This means that we remain as up-to-date as possible.

2. How are the salary benchmarks calculated?

   The Experteer salary benchmarks do not make a statement on the actual remuneration paid by the specific company for the job on offer. They are rather to be viewed as general target salaries in the relevant industry segment. They are meant to help orient our candidates with rating open positions and assessing their own career milestones, as well as to provide them with a helpful indication for salary negotiations. They are explicitly not the salaries offered or normally paid by the specific companies.

   The Experteer salary benchmark is the average market value at the respective level. This value may be up to 15% higher or lower in each company (greater variation may be possible in individual cases). The actual salary to be obtained however, depends on factors such as negotiation skills, employee performance and professional experience. The size and location of the company also play a role.

3. What is the difference between the Search Technology and the Matching Technology?

   While searching you can quickly gain an overview of the jobs offered on Experteer. You will be shown all the jobs that match the search criteria you have selected.

   However, we believe that this is not the best way to suggest job offers to you. Therefore, in the process of Experteer Matching we try to find job offers that best match your requirements based on your career goal and your previous professional history. Even if the matching of individual criteria improves the score, this is not mandatory. Like this you will also be shown job offers that may not meet all criteria but might still be of interest.

   We are constantly optimising our Matching Technology.

Recruiters

1. How do recruiters use Experteer?

   On Experteer, headhunters and HR managers can post jobs from £50,000 . Both have the possibility to also search for matching candidate profiles.

   As a candidate, you decide which recruiters have access to your profile. Experteer offers you various display settings for headhunters and HR managers. You have full control over which recruiters can view your profile.

2. What can I do to make recruiters aware of my profile?

   Please ensure your profile is as complete, distinctive and precise as possible. Make sure that you highlight your individual expertise and your greatest professional achievements. These make you unique and make you stand out in this job market for specialists and executives. This will increase your chances of being found by recruiters in the course of their search.

3. Why has my profile not been viewed by a recruiter yet?

   The appeal of a candidate profile to a recruiter depends on various factors. In addition to age, education and professional background, current demand on the job market is also decisive factor. The recruiter market is often a reflection of current economy.

   You can make your contribution by providing Experteer with a profile that is as complete, unique and precise as possible. Make sure that you highlight your individual expertise and your greatest professional achievements. These make you unique and make you stand out on this job market for specialists and executives. This will increase your chances of being found by recruiters in the course of their search.

Privacy

1. What about privacy? Is my data secure with Experteer?

   Experteer is particularly concerned about keeping your data secure and protected. For further information on Experteer's privacy policy, please click here.

   Experteer will not pass on any personal data to third parties. The only exception is the publication of your profile for recruiters. However, you can specify yourself whether your profile will be shown to headhunters in full, anonymously or not at all. You can also specify yourself whether your profile will be shown to HR managers from companies in full, anonymously or not at all.

   Your application can only be viewed by the headhunter or HR manager who specifically posted the job. You can decide if your profile can be viewed or not.

   All data is always transmitted via a secure SSL link. This means that nobody can access your data while it is being transmitted to us.

2. Who can access my profile?

   Headhunters as well as HR managers can register on Experteer. Before being approved, each new registration is carefully validated by our internal research team.

   As a candidate, you decide which recruiters have access to your profile. Experteer offers you various display settings for headhunters and HR managers. You have full control over which recruiters can view your profile.

   You can control and adjust your display settings for headhunters and HR managers in "My Profile". You can also see how your profile is presented to the respective recruiter.

   You can determine whether a headhunter or a recruiter can view your profile during the application process.

3. According to which criteria are recruiters checked and approved?

   All headhunters and HR managers must provide comprehensive feedback about themselves and the company they are working for when registering. These details are then checked by Experteer. To do this, we make use of the headhunter's homepage which should also provide some background on the company. Only after this procedure can the headhunter's account be activated.

   By accepting our General Terms and Conditions, every recruiter commits to treating all obtained information about a candidate as confidential.

Membership

1. What is the difference between the various types of Experteer memberships?

   We offer you two different types of membership:

   1. As an Experteer Basic Member you only have limited access to all of our services: Access to all pre-screened executive jobs is restricted. You won't be able to use all advanced search tools to find your next career move faster. You can create your profile for free but you won't be able to see which recruiter have viewed it nor respond to their contact requests.
   2. Only as an Experteer Premium Member will you be able to find your next career move faster. You will have complete access to all pre-screened executive jobs - that's 5x more than with a Basic Membership. You can exclusively search for headhunter-posted roles, see who views your profile and respond to contact requests from recruiters. Land your next career step faster with Premium Membership.
2. What are the notice periods?

   You can cancel your membership at any time. The same applies to your Premium Membership, which you can cancel at any time during the time period you book. Of course, you will still have complete access to all Premium benefits until the end of the period you have booked on Experteer.

3. My annual salary is considerably lower than £50,000 . Can I register with Experteer anyways?

   Experteer focuses on leading professionals with high-quality positions starting from £50,000 . As an executive career service, we pride ourselves on providing optimal customer satisfaction. This is best achieved by entering accurate personal and professional career history data.

Technical Information

1. I am unable to save my profile data and career goals. Why not?

   Please note that you must select an entry from the list by clicking on it when selecting the industry and providing information about your employment abroad. You cannot enter your own data.

2. What are the system requirements?

   In order to display Experteer correctly, you should use one of the following browsers:

   • Microsoft Internet Explorer: Version 7.0 and higher
   • Mozilla Firefox: Version 3.6 and higher
   • Safari: Version 5 and higher
   • Chrome: Version 11 and higher

   Other standard browsers should work too, but they have not been verified by us.

   It is also essential that JavaScript and cookies are activated in your browser settings. You can find these settings in Microsoft Internet Explorer under "Tools => Internet Options => Security => Default Level" or in Firefox under "Tools => Options => Privacy => Cookies" or "Tools => Options => Content".
