2. What does Experteer have to offer, as opposed to traditional job markets?

   Job markets usually demand money from the companies who post jobs on their website. Therefore they have no control over the quality of the positions. For a small fee, Experteer can guarantee you top positions starting at £50,000 per annum. No other service can give you such a comprehensive and wide-ranging offer in top positions.

Job offers

1. How does Experteer ensure the posted jobs are up-to-date?

   We permanently review the open positions currently posted with the companies and synchronise them with our database. This means that we remain as up-to-date as possible.

2. How are the salary benchmarks calculated?

   The salary benchmarks specified do not make a statement on the actual remuneration paid by the specific company for the job on offer. They are rather to be seen as targeted salaries of market leaders in the relevant industry segment. They are meant to provide our candidates with orientation for rating open positions and assessing their own career milestones as well as to provide them with a helpful indication for salary negotiations. They are explicitly not the salaries offered or normally paid by the specific companies.

   The targeted salary specified is the average value paid by the market leaders at the respective level. This value may be up to 15% higher or lower in each company (greater variation may be possible in individual cases). The actual salary to be obtained however, depends on factors such as negotiation skills, employee performance and professional experience. The size and location of the company also play a role.

3. What is the difference between the Search Technology and the Matching Technology?

   While searching you can quickly gain an overview of the jobs offered on Experteer. You will be shown all the jobs that match the search criteria you have selected.

   However, we believe that this is not the best way to suggest job offers to you. Therefore, in the process of Experteer Matching we try to find job offers that best match your requirements based on your career goal and your previous professional history. Even if the matching of individual criteria improves the score, this is not mandatory. Like this you will also be shown job offers that differ by single criteria but might still be of interest.

   Of course we are continuously making an effort towards optimising the Matching.

Headhunters

1. How do headhunters use Experteer?

   Headhunter and companies can post £50,000 free of charge. Additionally, they can search our candidate database for suitable profiles. The search is comparable to the job-search on Experteer CAREER. The following search-options are available:

2. What can I do to make headhunters aware of my profile?

   Please ensure your profile is as complete, unique and precise as possible. Make sure that you highlight your individual expertise and your greatest professional achievements. These make you unique and make you stand out on this job market for specialists and executives. This will increase your chances of being found by headhunters in the course of their search.

3. Why has my profile not been viewed by a headhunter yet?

   How appealing a headhunter may find a candidate profile depends on various factors. In addition to age, education and professional background, current demand on the job market is a decisive factor. The headhunter market is often a reflection of current business activity.

   You can make your contribution by providing Experteer with a profile that is as complete, unique and precise as possible. Make sure that you highlight your individual expertise and your greatest professional achievements. These make you unique and make you stand out on this job market for specialists and executives. This will increase your chances of being found by headhunters in the course of their search.

Privacy

1. What about privacy? Is my data secure with Experteer?

   Experteer is particularly concerned about keeping your data secure and protected. For further information on privacy policy, please click here.

   Experteer will not pass on any personal data to third parties. The only exception is the publication of your profile for headhunters. However, you can specify yourself whether your profile will be shown to headhunters in full, anonymously or not at all.

   All data is always transmitted via a secure SSL link. This means that nobody can access your data while it is being transmitted to us.

2. Who can access my profile?

   Headhunters as well as companies can register to Experteer RECRUITING.

   Generally, only headhunters are able to view your profile as our research team checks each new registration individually and in detail before it is activated. On "My profile" on the upper right you can see which view a headhunter has of your profile. There you can choose between the overall view and the current headhunter view.

   Companies, on the other hand, can only post jobs and do not have access to the candidate database. Like this we can make sure that your HR director definitely does not find you on Experteer.

3. Do companies have access to my profile?

   No. Companies never have access to the candidate database.

   We check every registration on Experteer RECRUITING individually. It is activated only after we have reviewed all the details and have personally contacted the headhunter or company. This way we can ensure that only headhunters can access your profile while companies can only post jobs but do not have access to the candidate database.

4. According to what criteria are headhunters checked and approved?

   Already when registering, every headhunter must provide comprehensive details about himself and the company he is working for. By accepting our General Terms and Conditions, every headhunter confirms to only be self-employed and commits to treating all obtained information about a candidate as confidential.

   These details are then checked by Experteer RECRUITING. To do this, we make use of the headhunter's homepage which should also provide some background on the company. We complete our control with a personal telephone call. Only after this procedure the activation of the headhunter’s account will take place.

Membership

1. What is the difference between the different types of Experteer memberships?

   We offer you two different types of membership:

   1. As an Experteer Basic member you only have restricted access rights: Access to the job market is restricted to every 4th job advertisement. For the other positions the company name and link are hidden. Also, you will only see job postings that are over 14 days old. Headhunters can contact you but you cannot respond. This gives you a good insight and you only pay if you are successful in finding a job.
   2. Only as an Experteer Premium member you will be able to use all of Experteer's benefits without restriction - 4 times as many open positions, full contact with headhunters and a view of headhunters who have looked at your profile.
2. What notice periods are there?

   You can cancel your membership at any time without having to adhere to notice periods. The same applies to your Premium Membership which you can cancel at any time. Of course, you will still have unlimited access to Experteer after cancellation until the period you have booked has expired.

3. Are the costs for a premium membership tax-deductible?

   If you decide to register for a Premium Membership with Experteer, you will be sent an invoice automatically. By this you will be able to declare the fee at the Inland Revenue and have it deducted from tax as advertising costs.

4. My annual salary is considerably lower than £50,000 . Can I register with Experteer anyway?

   Experteer focuses on the job market of highly qualified leading professionals starting at an annual salary of £50,000 . Currently you can find over 50,000 positions of that quality with us. As a high-level career service we are eager to achieve a maximum of customer satisfaction. This is best achieved by us and our users, the more precise and the more realistic the entered personal information and the information about the professional career history are kept.

Technical Information

1. I am unable to save my profile data and career goals. Why is that?

   Please note that you must select an entry from the list by clicking on it when selecting the industry and providing information about your employment abroad. You cannot enter your own data.

2. What are the system requirements?

   In order to display Experteer correctly, you should use one of the following browsers:

   • Microsoft Internet Explorer: version 6.0 and higher
   • Mozilla Firefox: version 1.0 and higher
   • Safari: version 2.0.3 and higher

   Other standard browsers should work too, but they are not verified by us.

   It is also essential that JavaScript and accepting cookies are activated in your browser settings. You can find these settings in the Microsoft Internet Explorer on "Tools => Internet Options => Security => Default Level" or in the Firefox on "Tools => Options => Privacy => Cookies" or "Tools => Options => Content".
